Successful managers, marketing and sales people can be even more effective with financial training that gives a better understanding of the commercial considerations that interact with their own discipline.
The finance training programme is specially designed for Executives who recognise the benefit of understanding how the financial side of the business operates. The course is led by a marketeer, not an accountant, who takes a practical, pragmatic view of money matters and translates the jargon, conventions and formats of accounting so that they become useful tools for the delegate. Case study work and practical exercises form an important part of this programme reinforced by tutor led discussions.

Description of Course
To many people, financial information is presented in a way that is intimidating and difficult to understand. The first aim of this two-day course is to sweep away the mysteries of financial jargon. The second aim is to translate the formats and conventions of financial information making them easy to understand. The course starts by explaining how money is used in a business and the difference between cash flow and profit. This is followed by a session explaining the different types of costs and how they are quantified. Then the course moves on to look at statutory accounts and Management accounts. Before very long, under the helpful guidance of the tutor, delegates begin to analyse a set of accounts and as confidence builds up start to form judgments on financial data. The final sessions cover evaluating financial risk, forecasting, budgets and pricing methods.
