Spearhead Training offer business training courses across a broad range of subjects. They are all delivered by experienced tutors with a successful track record in the relevant discipline. We offer a wide range of business courses, which provide delegates with the relevant skills in the key areas that are essential for success in the current business environment. 
 

The business courses for 2008 include assertiveness workshops. Assertiveness increases the chance of success in any business transaction. We also have a one day course called improve your business writing skills which includes how to write effective business letters, emails, reports and proposals.
 

Other business training includes a course in persuading and influencing skills designed to allow people to positively influence others to achieve satisfactory outcomes without resorting to high pressure tactics. Fully revised for 2008 is our business presentation skills course aimed at overcoming nerves and how to present with confidence at meetings, seminars courses, client presentations and larger functions. This programme is limited to eight delegates to ensure delegates obtain maximum benefit. We also have courses in project management, telephone skills, training skills, working with difficult people and time management. 
 

Project training is a new development for 2008. This course covers successful project management and how to deliver results within budget and on time. The project training

course is for staff and managers who are running or involved in a project or those who wish to adopt a project approach to managing workload. 
 

The course methodology uses case studies and exercises to help understanding. They are aimed at delivering a project on time and within budget. It also examines how each project phase interlinks, the jargon used and specific techniques for project management. 
 

We also run finance training courses. They enable all non financial people to understand how the commercial considerations relate to their own discipline. The course is practical and pragmatic and translates accountancy jargon, formats and conventions so they become useful tools. It comprises tutor discussions, case studies and practical exercises to aid understanding and to build confidence in the subject matter. 
 

The areas of finance training covered include the difference between cash flow and profit, quantifying costs, statutory accounts and management accounts, forecasting, pricing methods, budgets and evaluating financial risk.
